LAGOS UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL PARTNERS LAGOON HOSPITAL TO ESTABLISH A CARDIAC CENTER

In a ground breaking collaboration, the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) and Lagoon Hospital have joined forces to establish a State-Of-The-Art Cardiac Center at LUTH.
The Management Team of LUTH, led by the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Wasiu Lanre Adeyemo, FAS, visited Lagoon Hospital in Victoria Island, Lagos; expressing their intent for this strategic partnership.
Prof. Adeyemo highlighted the shift in healthcare dynamics, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between public and private institutions, with a focus on Patient Care, Research, and Training.
LUTH aims to leverage its experience in partnering with Private Hospitals for the past decade.
The Federal Government's commitment to prioritizing Healthcare, especially through collaborations with private organizations, was underscored as a crucial factor in this initiative.
The establishment of a Cardiac Center at LUTH aligns with the government's mandate, as shared by the Honorable Minister.
In the same vein, the involvement of the National Medical College further solidifies the commitment to advancing Healthcare Services.
Prof. Adeyemo revealed that Cardiac Care topped LUTH's infrastructure priorities, leading to the Hospital's proactive plans and engagement in the collaborative effort.
